Ian Richards

Ian's doctoral research investigated the profound link between neurochemistry and immunology at a world leading neurochemistry research laboratory. Ian now applies his understanding of neurochemistry to cognitive function in the context of high performing creative teams. Ian brings acclaimed achievements in the management process and creative content of innovation, founded on new product development experience at Unilever and Mars. Ian is a co-inventor of the technology behind the Clearblue pregnancy test, the Clearplan ovulation test, and the Persona contraceptive test.
Ian has gained global experience as a management consultant carrying out organizational audits, due diligence support and process management implementation. He has performed numerous technology audits in support of M&A, divestment and private placement assignments with merchant and investment banks. Interactives understands the journey from idea creation to patent defense and litigation, from blue sky research to capability platforms, from product vision to satisfied customer.
Ian has worked with Professor Kim Clark, the former Dean of Harvard Business School, delivering executive level change and with Prof. Clayton Christensen, author of the Innovator's Dilemma.
Ian is a member of the Foundation Advisory Council of the School of Information at the University of Texas at Austin.
